Giving

The Chevrette-Marx Lectures, as well as the François-Chevrette Scholarships and the Herbert Marx Award are financed by the Université de Montréal’s François-Chevrette and Herbert-Marx Funds. Under the donation agreements between the Université de Montréal and the donors, the sums in these funds accrue to the University’s Endowment Fund and are inalienable. The sums allotted annually to the holding of the Lecture and to the awards and scholarships are determined by reference to the revenues generated by the François-Chevrette and Herbert-Marx Funds. Any unused amount in a given year will be reinvested in the Fund whence it came. You can make a donation to the François-Chevrette or Herbert-Marx Fund by completing an online donation form. In the section regarding information about the donation, choose the "Autre" option, and write the name of the Fund of your choice in the next box. You can also make a donation by mail or by phone. The Université de Montréal Bureau of Development and Alumni Affairs will place the full amount of your donation in the Fund of your choosing. A tax receipt will be issued by the University in accordance with, and in the form prescribed by the law.
